Inclusive Trail

The Inclusive Trail is an event designed for people with various types of disabilities, namely motor, mental, visual and hearing, in a race along the trails surrounding the center of Miranda do Corvo.

The 3rd Inclusive Abutres Trail will take place on January 26, 2024, starting at 11 am and leaving Quinta da Paiva, Miranda do Corvo, on a circular route close to the center of the village, with a length of approximately 5 km.

A race for very special athletes that aims to demonstrate that Trail Running is a sport suitable for everyone. The first edition had as godparents two great Paralympic athletes: Diogo Cancela – swimmer from Miranda do Corvo, who recently won a bronze medal in the adapted swimming World Championships, and Lenine Cunha – Paralympic athletics athlete, holder of 228 medals in competitions internationals, and was recently elected the best world athlete by the International Federation for Athletes with Intellectual Disabilities (VIRTUS), at a gala that took place in the French city of Vichy, repeating the feat achieved in 2017.

With the main objective of demonstrating that Trail Running is a sport that can be practiced by people with disabilities, the “Trilhos dos Abutres” event is attended by everyone to celebrate and support the athletes!
