The strong emotions we provide to athletes are allied in the great responsibility of safety in the race. It is a very important aspect for the organization since the first edition of the event. Most of the organization’s members are Volunteer Firefighters and, given their experience, have created a pioneering simulation in Portugal, with the local Humanitarian Association.
This exercise is performed every year in the Serra da Lousã, in the course of the events, whose scenario is the “Lost Athlete”.
