Welcome to the 2022 edition of the Trilhos dos Abutres

Associação Abutrica would like to thank all athletes for the strong adhesion to pre-registration for the 11th edition of the Trilhos dos Abutres to be held on the last weekend of January 2022, it also informs that the event remains, even though it is a day of elections.

For some years now, the Association has been limiting the places, in order to maintain the excellence of the competition and for reasons of environmental impact. This year, due to the conditions imposed by the pandemic, vacancies are even more reduced.

This is a special edition, after a year of absence, in which Trilhos dos Abutres intends to return to a format closer to the original, as far as the track is concerned.

Furthermore, this is an edition in which, more than ever, our focus will be on efficiency and environmental sustainability. The Associação Abutrica has had this concern for a long time, but this year the organization defined clear goals and specific actions to further reduce the impact the event has on the environment.

One of these actions was the plogging, carried out in October, and the subsequent workshop held by the artists of “Mar de Experiências”, in which, in order to raise awareness, the children used the garbage to produce pieces, pieces that will be on display and prominently featured at Expotrail.

Another novelty in this edition is the eco-inscription, a reduced value inscription that only includes the dorsal, thus avoiding the waste of t-shirts for athletes who do not intend to purchase them, thus reducing the consumption of things that are effectively often no longer needed.

Within this concept, the communication of this edition’s event will be something truly special, a communication by the Cream that will be fully aligned with sustainability, care for the environment and awareness that the Vultures Trails intend to pass.

As always, Trilhos dos Abutres has the support of the Municipality of Miranda do Corvo, SportHG as its main partner, Aldeias do Xisto, Dueceira, Parish Council of Miranda do Corvo, and of course, the Miranda do Corvo Volunteer Firefighters. To all these entities, we can only say “You make it Epic“!
